Hello, my name is Danene. I am an artist turned baker located in California’s Central Valley, Bakersfield, to be exact. I have always loved art and cooking, separately. I’ve created Latino and urban inspired art almost my entire life and have always known my way around a kitchen. My whole life, I prepared savory and spicy meals and even baked a little during the holidays and for special occasions. My kids always loved when we baked.

Since childhood, I have been obsessed with watching cake decorators and sugar artists of all types without ever really trying it myself. I wasted tons of time on YouTube and TikTok watching cake decorators create masterpieces until one day I decided to try baking and cake decorating for myself.
